Rebecca joined Barrett & Co in May 2019 as a Legal Support Assistant based in our Private Client department, where she is due to commence a Training Contract in January 2020.
Rebecca has a wide variety of experience in many different areas of law and began her legal career at the University of Lincoln where she studied for her law degree, before moving on to the University of Sheffield where she undertook the legal practice course and a master’s degree in Legal Practice. Her master’s degree focused on whether non-financial contributions should be taken into account when deciding who is entitled to a share of a family home upon the breakdown of a cohabitating relationship.
Alongside her studies, Rebecca also worked in Local Authority Legal Services within both the Child Protection and Commercial Property teams before moving back into private practice and gaining experience at two national firms in both Civil Litigation and Housing (specifically Shared Ownership Leases), Right to Buy and Acquire transactions and Staircasing.
Outside of work Rebecca enjoys travelling all over the country, and Europe, searching for new places to explore and lifting weights in her local gym.
