Transfers of equity
Equity transfers may be applicable when a person who is already registered as the proprietor of a property remains on the deeds. A second party may also need to be transferred off or onto the title. The transfer may be ‘subject to a mortgage’ (where the existing mortgage is being retained), the property may be re-mortgaged, or there may be no mortgage at all.
