Emma is a Paralegal in our Residential Conveyancing team working closely with our Conveyancers in all aspects of the conveyancing process and, in particular, focusing on supporting clients at the point of first enquiry, and later, the post-exchange and completion work.

Emma joined Barrett & Co at the beginning of 2016 as a Legal Support Assistant working in both the Family and Litigation departments, and supporting the Residential Conveyancing team. In the summer of 2018, she was promoted to Senior Legal Support Assistant to monitor, oversee and liaise with the LSA team alongside her colleague, Megan Aedy. At the beginning of August 2019, Emma was promoted to her current role as Conveyancing Paralegal.

Emma is an extremely active member of the firm’s Marketing Team where she promotes events, runs our social media pages and assists in firm wide initiatives. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Law in 2016, and her Legal Practice Course in July 2019, both with the University of Law in Guildford. Emma intends to progress her career towards qualifying as a Solicitor.

Once an avid collegiate sportswoman in Florida, Emma continues to play most sports, including golf, and regularly attends the gym.  In her spare time, Emma also co-organises the Reading Young Professionals group, arranging social events for nearly 3000 members in and around the Reading area. Emma is a big lover of food, animals and dreams of one day owning her own Cat Rescue Centre and Aston Martin Vanquish (or perhaps just driving one!).
