Many of us decide to start a new year with a New Years Resolution; it may be to eat less chocolate, try out a new craft or to exercise more. The staff at Barrett & Co are no exception.
In January 2021, our Private Client Solicitor Charlotte Corcoran decided to challenge herself and signed up to run 50 miles over the course of January in aid of Alzheimer’s Society!
This event, known as Run for Dementia, allowed Charlotte to fundraise to provide much needed funds for Alzheimer’s Society. Charlotte is pleased to confirm that she has exceeded her £100.00 fundraising target, raising a total of £115.00.
These funds from generous supporters will enable Alzheimer’s Society to provide a telephone-based Dementia Advisor for a full day; providing essential support to those affected by Dementia. Equally, the fundraising will also result in turning 4 ordinary citizens into superhero Dementia Friends. This scheme helps facilitate societal change and aid peoples understanding of the impact of dementia in the lives of family and friends.
The Private Client Department of Barrett & Co Solicitors are all qualified Dementia Friends, and therefore are proud to know that Charlotte’s efforts will enable even more people to benefit from this.
If you or a family member have recently been diagnosed with dementia or other forms of progressive memory loss, the team at Barrett & Co can help; we can assist with drafting Lasting Powers of Attorney so that you family can continue to legally assist you in your day-to-day lives, or assist in the drafting of Wills.
We congratulate Charlotte on this running achievement and cannot wait to see what she signs up for next!
