Senior Partner and head of our ever-growing Private Client team, Hilary Buckle, was nominated for the Invesco Women in Business Award at the Sue Ryder Southern Women of Achievement Awards!
The 14th annual awards, which were held on 13th March 2020 aimed to recognise and celebrate incredible women from across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire whilst raising funds for specialist palliative hospice care Sue Ryder provides in the South Oxfordshire community.
A total of 7 awards were presented on the night to acknowledge the work of women within a variety of categories including innovation, public service and courage in adversity.
Hilary was nominated for the Women in Business award for her work in developing and enhancing the Barrett & Co practice since she joined the firm in 1995, in leading the way for other women to develop their legal and management skills, and for being an inspiration to younger women within the profession.
Five incredible women, including Hilary, were nominated in this category, which was won by Rose Grimmond from Nettlebed Creamery, but all women were commended for their hard work and dedication in their chosen field.
The night was full of fun, games and fundraising which enabled £67,906.00 to be raised towards the amazing work that Sue Ryder does within the community.
We would like once again to commend all 36 nominees for their incredible work and for Sue Ryder for their tireless dedication to providing care to those who need it the most.
