*Why do you quote a range of Professional Fees for conveyancing?” is a question we get asked regularly.

In one word, the answer is “transparency.” The reason we provide a range is because at the outset we never really know what will happen during your transaction.

Some conveyancing matters can become incredibly complex and detailed. We allow for this with our initial quote. It’s only when the solicitor receives the full contract pack and fully reviews the title of the property, that the estimate be customised further.

Anticipating and Solving Problems

For example, recently Alan Warnes was working on a property transaction where the balcony of the property was not included in the freehold. This meant that had the paperwork not been changed and legally sorted out, the new owner would be leasing their balcony and not actually owning it. By ensuring we have the time to thoroughly look at contracts and prepare changes to documents that require it, means we provide a better service.

Our clients respect our approach and it generates many excellent recommendations and referrals. (We encourage you to view 100 plus client recommendations on Google)

We also quote inclusive of VAT. Many firms don’t but as you have to pay it, it makes sense to show it!

Local Reading Experience – Customised Conveyancing Service

Because we have more than 20 years of local experience, we are able to tailor our service to each individual. We are extremely thorough and give all clients the proper attention to detail.

The value of our solicitors and Chartered Legal Executive comes from the enhanced way they organise and deliver a model service and connect with clients and facilitate the other partners within the conveyancing process.

It requires skill to make sure Estate Agents and Surveyors, Banks and Building Societies and other law firms all do their work effectively.

When Comparing Conveyancing Quotes – Don’t Focus Only On Price

When you are purchasing or selling something that is worth hundreds of thousands you do want a safe and experienced pair of hands for your conveyancing. You can find many Call-Centre type firms who will offer very cheap conveyancing, (you just have to Google cheap conveyancing to find them.) Please also make sure you Google a firm’s reviews BEFORE you even ask for a quote. It can save a lot of time.

Most people agree that doing things correctly is worth it.  It takes away the stress of moving and let’s you get on with things such as work, children, even holidays! Peace of mind is worth paying for.

If you would like a residential conveyancing quote for Reading or the surrounding area, then please feel free to get in touch with Emma Docking or Piers Galton-Becque on 0118 958 9711 and they will answer any questions you may have.
