To get into the Christmas spirit in the final week before Christmas we held our own bake off. The rules were simple, to bake something with a Christmassy theme. This year we had eight entrants including 2017’s winner, our Senior Partner, Hilary Buckle.
Throughout the week there was an array of delicious bakes, including coconut stars, a winter wonderland themed display of cupcakes and chocolate orange cupcakes.
Three of our bakers tried vegan recipes so we were all able to try vegan cherry and almond chocolate brownies, a vegan chocolate brownie and raspberry baked cheesecake and vegan reindeer doughnuts.
It was not all sweet though as Charlotte Corcoran, one of our Trainee Solicitors, made a savoury three cheese and oregano pastry Christmas tree.
The real challenge was trying every single bake that was made in order to vote for our favourite bake.
To top off a decadent week, we had two winners! Paul Wild, our Family Partner who baked a banana cake (pictured above), and Jane Whitfield a Solicitor in our Private Client Department who baked the vegan reindeer doughnuts (with the help from her husband!).
