We are delighted to announce that Jane Whitfield, solicitor in our Private Client department, has now received her certificate confirming that she is a full member of Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP).
STEP’s vision is to be the pre-eminent worldwide professional association for those advising families across generations. It has grown dramatically from its beginnings as a niche society for UK-based accountants and lawyers working with trusts. Now with more than 20,000 members across the world from a range of professional backgrounds, its emphasis has broadened and trusts are just one part of the wider role its members play in advising families on their long-term wealth planning. It helps families to plan their assets across generations by promoting high professional standards, educating professionals, connecting advisors and families globally and informing public policy.
Jane has also since spoken on BBC Radio Berkshire on the Andrew Peach show regarding the importance of Lasting Powers of Attorney and the relationship with DNRs or ‘do not resuscitate’ documents.
If you or a family member would like to ensure that their wishes are followed regarding whether you would like to be resuscitated, should this become relevant, please contact Jane Whitfield. Janeu2019s contact details are: 0118 958 9711 or email@example.com and she, and our Private Client team in Reading, would be glad to advise you.
