You can now track the progress of your transaction by logging in online throughout the process. You receive login details at the outset and are informed of the solicitor/fee earner dealing with your file with their email address and telephone number to make contact.
Throughout the transaction you are sent “key stage updates” by email, keeping you well informed. Below is a screenshot of what you can view.
No Sale – No Fee – Conveyancing
At Barrett and Co. we offer a no sale no fee guarantee.
This means that should your property transaction fall through (for any reason) you will not pay any legal fees. It is important to note that disbursements such as searches, land registry fees/management packs will still be payable by you.
It is easy to find yourself out of pocket after mortgage costs and survey costs which is why we now protect you and make sure you are not being charged for no legal fees.
In what circumstances could my transaction fall through?
In our experience at Barrett and Co. the most common reasons for transactions falling through are as follows:-
- A disagreement between the seller and buyer;
- Either party changes their mind for various reasons;
- A survey or valuation raises an issue in relation to the condition of the property;
- A lender may not be prepared to lend on the property;
