Barrett and Co Solicitors LLP supported keen rower and runner Nick Buckle on 9th July 2017 as he raised funds for the charity Action on Elder Abuse by participating in the Virgin Sport Westminster British 10km run.

As a firm, Barrett and Co are specialists in Elder Abuse law and are helping to raise the issues relating to this area of the law and society.

Jane Whitfield, a solicitor in our Private Client Department and Chair of the Law Society’s Wills and Equity Committee explains that, “Charities that work to prevent abusive situations are something we support wholeheartedly. We often have to help out families and individuals where abuse has taken place, which is often too late to prevent suffering, but seeks to redress or put things right.”

In light of this, the firm decided to become a major sponsor so that Nick could raise as much money as possible for such a worthy cause. It is with pleasure that we can announce that Nick came 15th in the race out of over 10,000 participants.
