Berkshire’s top legal firms are battling rivals from Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire in the annual Law Society awards taking place on May 25th this year.
Cyrus Medora, President of the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Law Society admits competition will be tough.
“We have more than 10,000 solicitors in our three counties, so to be nominated as one of the best will be a real achievement,”
“We have four categories for firms to enter. They are: Solicitor of the Year, Junior Solicitor of the Year, Chartered Legal Executive of the Year and an award for Pro-Bono/Corporate Social Responsibility work. Our members do a great job for thousands of people and I’m hoping firms won’t be too reticent to enter these awards – lawyers tend to be a bit shy about this sort of thing!”
Justin Sadler and Jane Whitfield, solicitors here at Barrett and Co, are co-ordinating entries for this year’s inaugural awards.
Firms can enter their staff in more than one category. Entries have to be submitted by the end of February, and judging takes place in March. The finalists will be announced in April. They will find out if they have won the top prize in May.
The awards will be presented at the President’s dinner on 25th May at the Bisham Abbey, near Marlow.
