Involved in residential conveyancing for more than 20 years, Nigel joined Barrett & Co.'s Reading Office in 1985 beginning as a general assistant to the residential conveyancers. Following in-house training and greater experience, he moved to the Wokingham Office in 1987 where he continued to represent his own clients and where he gained experience in the running of a branch office.
In 1989, he left the firm to join another practice where he continued in conveyancing, gaining valuable experience in representing clients introduced by Company Relocation agencies. He also took a leading role in the creation and implementation of a computerised conveyancing system.
Following the opening of the firm's South Oxfordshire office in 1996, Nigel readily accepted the invitation to rejoin the firm and to establish a conveyancing department within it, which he has done successfully.
