Gordon Hewson
Gordon is an experienced Case Manager in residential conveyancing.
After an initial career outside the legal profession Gordon joined Barrett & Co in 1992 in the conveyancing department. He has developed a strong client base acting for many regular clients as well as their friends and family.
He works with our Family Law department as well as other departments in relation to Transfers of Equity and other more unusual transactions. In addition to residential conveyancing Gordon acts for small developers in preparing new leases and freehold deeds.
Gordon is responsible for updating the property department on any changes to the legislation and practice in residential matters, including land registry requirements, the intricacies and subtleties of Stamp Duty Land Tax and the various initiatives to make the conveyancing process easier for the client.
Gordon enjoys sailing, skiing, hill walking and recently took a bob sleigh ride down the Old Olympic run at Lillehammer.
