Our Company and Commercial team complete the JLL Property Triathlon for the Starlight Children's Foundation

Martin Reynolds, Rob Jefferies and Charlotte Mckenty completed the JLL Property Triathlon on 1st July 2016 in a very respectable time of 1 hour and 26 minutes in aid of the Starlight Children's Foundation.

Our Company and Commercial team complete the JLL Property Triathlon for the Starlight Children's FoundationOur team completed the triathlon at Dorney Lake, Windsor, Berkshire, as a relay with Martin doing the swim, Rob doing the cycle and Charlotte doing the run.

Barrett and Co raised a grand total of £330 plus gift aid for Starlight, a charity focusing on granting wishes and brightening the lives of seriously and terminally ill children throughout the UK.

Barrett and Co fundraised through a bake sale that lasted all week with staff members baking (and eating) in aid of the charity. We had a wide variety of baked goods including carrot cake, nut loaf, savoury pinwheels and brownies and I think we’re all in need of a triathlon now to work it off!

Our team had the opportunity to meet with the Starlight fundraising team on the day and hear about the amazing work their ‘Wish Granters’ do every day in hospitals and hospices. Starlight cover a vast range of activities including putting on pantomimes and parties and granting wishes for children to attend events like the Monaco Grand Prix and meet their favourite characters at Disneyland.

Thank you to everyone that sponsored our team and we’re looking forward to seeing if they can beat their time next year!

The Starlight Children's Foundation grants wishes to over half a million seriously and terminally ill children every year in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK. Visit the Starlight Children's Foundation website or Facebook page to find out more about their wonderful work..
